Experience

Since joining Hugessen in 2019, Michael has advised public, private, and crown corporations across a diverse range of industries, including financial services, energy, aerospace, and organizations with “beyond profit” mandates. His work spans executive compensation, incentive plan design, CEO performance management, and Board effectiveness reviews.

Michael has developed a keen interest in proxy advisor matters and the broader pressures facing Boards today. He contributes actively to the firm’s thought leadership in these areas, helping clients anticipate and respond to evolving stakeholder expectations and market trends.

Prior to joining Hugessen, Michael held accounting and finance roles in both Vancouver and Toronto.

Education

Michael graduated with distinction from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2019, earning an Honours Business Administration (HBA) degree.
