John joined Hugessen as an Analyst in 2013 and has gained extensive experience supporting Compensation Committees with a wide range of executive compensation mandates including financial performance analyses, wealth analyses and CEO employment terms and conditions.
He works with large private and public companies to assess and implement innovative incentive frameworks focused on pay-for-performance, long-termism, and governance best practices. John is also involved with content creation and teaching for the Institute of Corporate Directors’ Directors Education Program.
Prior to joining Hugessen, John worked as an Analyst at Investor Economics, a Toronto-based research consulting firm focusing on the financial services industry. He has also held summer positions in the Retail Deposits and Investments unit at Scotiabank.
John graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree (First Class) from the Queen`s School of Business at Queen’s University in 2012, specializing in finance. During his time at Queen’s he took part in an exchange program to the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
